Simple Human Interfaced Photocopier

Simple Human Interfaced Photocopier - Anees Uddin 1997

Faced with the daunting propect of photocopying an essential letter, Mary, a 63 year old semi-retiree who has a phobia of everything electronic cautiously steps into the post office to stand, stunned in front of a tall, wide, loud and beige contraption with no idea of were to begin.

This simple and humane photocopeier was designed in 1997, aimed at the techophobic individual who does not need a heavy-duty machine to make a single copy of a single sheet, simply drop the original on the sloping screen and see it fall into the right place, close the lid and press OK, job done.

The compartmentalized nature of the form factor reduces the monolithic and ill-considered profile to suggest the function and process of making a photocopy.
